If anyone is wondering, yes, Fallout 4 got an update today. Download Page now here Replacement for Nexus Mod Manager, and combine the simplicity of the Nexus Mod. As bad at handling these things as NMM is, it won't be useful for it to do that anyway. Solution 2: Reinstall Nexus Mod Manager As the tool is mostly community-developed, bugs like this one can occur, especially when the purpose of the program is to manage files which change the source files of other programs (video games). Nexus Mod Manager says 'Unable to get write permissions for: C: Games Nexus Mod Manager Skyrim Install Info. Put your Nexus Mod Manager files somewhere else. If you install to some subdirectory of your home directory, you won't have to worry about permissions and so forth. When the Mod Manager asks you where you want to save the mod files. Jan 20, 2018 - MO2 and Nexus Links - posted in Mod Organizer 2 Support: It appears. Will not download mods from the Nexus via Mod Manager Download button. Now this might be a stupid question, but it won't harm anything if I follow.
Nexus Mods Mod Organizer 2
1) MO2 behaves slowly and will have 1-10s pauses as it initialises internet queries (unknown issue)
2) There is a persistent drag drop text that only can be removed by right clicking somewhere (annoying at the least)
3) The interface is not at all as clean as it is in windows so expect some rather different looks in font and scaling
4) Some of the programs like FNIS needs a VM to work correctly, others like xEdit need small workarounds.
5) The vfs mounting script is a slow workaround and will ad as much as 5 minutes to skyrimse.exe boot time, its not ideal and we need native mo2 vfs or a MUCH faster method. This means testing mods is frustrating due to large amounts of time restarting the game.
Overall mods can be used on skyrimse with mo2 but its frustrating and cumbersome, you will not get a good experience especially if you want to run more then a few mods like large texture and model mods. That's the situation atm, playing these games with mods and MO2 under win10 is still about 100x more enjoyable experience atm. One day we may get there but not today.
